Christmas Services
Sunday Worship at 10AM -Each Sunday in December is in the season of Advent. Advent is a time of preparation and waiting for the birth of Christ in the manger. In the four Sundays before Christmas Eve we focus on a different theme; Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. For each Sunday we light a different candle as a symbol of the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love in the world that Christ brings. Throughout the season our choir sings special music and our minister offers reflections help us reflect the true meaning of Christmas in our lives.

Christmas Eve December 24th
We hope you can join us on Wednesday December 24 for one of our Christmas Eve worship services. There are two services available to suit your needs.

Our Family Service is held at 5:00 PM – This service will be an interactive worship experience with participation of children and youth. There will be familiar Christmas Carols, Readings by the children, Candle lighting and a story. A fun service to experience Christmas Eve.

Our Traditional Candlelight Communion Service is held at 8 PM – This service is calm and reflective and lasts about an hour. Our senior choir and soloists will sing accompanied by instrumentalists. At the end of the service we will join in a circle to sing Silent Night by candlelight. This is a great way to reflect on the meaning and joy of Christmas.

The Ugly Christmas Sweater Celebration Service- Sunday December 31 at 10:00 AM. Once again we invite worshippers to wear their ugliest or best Christmas sweaters to church. There will be a “Sweater Parade” with a contest for the sweaters worn. A fun event for the entire family.

We all know that the Christmas season is a busy time for many, but for some people getting involved is one way to make it more meaningful. For each of our services there are ways people can help make that service special. If you would like to help with greeting, ushering, reading and providing refreshments please email Grant Williams at standrewsminister@cogeco.ca

All are welcome! Come celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with family and friends with St. Andrew’s this year.
