Membership and Hospitality

At St. Andrew’s we believe that belonging to a community is important. Each Sunday morning we offer an opportunity for fellowship and relationship building over a cup of coffee or cookie. At various times in the year we host New Members lunches where newcomers can get to know the congregation.

In May we host a special Sundae Sunday when we invite the entire congregation to come for a church photo and then stay for Ice Cream in the gymnasium. This is always a hit with the kids!

For those who wish to have a deeper relationship with the congregation and seek to become members of the United Church of Canada, we offer  New Member sessions a couple of times a year. In the new member session called , “United Church 101” people can get to know the congregation and what are the beliefs and practices of the United Church.

New members can join the church through a Profession of Faith where they profess their faith publicly in a worship service, through a Reaffirmation of Faith for those who were formerly members at some point in the past, or through Membership Transfers for those people who have been active members of other churches and seek to transfer their membership to St. Andrew’s. Please contract the church office for more information about Membership.
